This is huge, and it's something most people don't realize. As a mortgage broker, I'm bound by a best-interests duty – a statutory obligation that requires me to act in your best interest, not the lender's, and not mine. This sets me apart from anyone you'll speak with at a bank or direct lender. When you walk into a bank, they can only offer their own products and they work for the bank's interests. I'm the only professional in the entire home loan process who is legally required to keep your interests paramount. That's not just good service – it's the law.

I handle all the paperwork, coordinate with lenders, conveyancers, and real estate agents, and keep your loan application on track. This typically means faster approval times and far less stress for you. After our initial meeting (which we can do in person, by phone, or via video call), you can send me whatever documentation I need via email. I'll take it from there. When you work with me, you access over 35 lenders including major banks, regional lenders, non-bank lenders, and specialist lenders that only work through brokers.
I can find solutions for complex scenarios: bad credit history, self-employed or contract income, unusual properties, low-doc or alt-doc situations, investment portfolios, and commercial lending. I quickly assess what type of loan suits your situation and I know when lenders are offering new products or special rates. I have direct relationships with lender credit assessors and BDMs, which means I can often get answers and negotiate terms that you couldn't access going direct.

Mortgage applications involve numerous fees: application fees, valuation fees, settlement fees, and more. I negotiate with lenders to reduce or waive these charges, potentially saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars. Because of the volume of business I write with my panel of lenders, I can often secure better rates than you'd get walking into a branch yourself. Lenders want my business, which gives me negotiating power I use entirely on your behalf.
My Service Is Free To You
I'm paid by the lender when your loan settles, which means my service costs you nothing. And here's the key: if I can't find you a suitable loan that gets approved, I don't get paid. That's a powerful incentive for me to find the ideal loan that meets your needs, offers competitive rates, and has terms that work for your situation. I don't accept "no" easily – if one lender declines your application, I'll work with you to address the issues and find another lender whose policies better suit your circumstances.
